Day 124 Train and Rain

After a hellish overnight four change train journey we arrived in Manarolla one of the five picturesque hiking towns called Cinque Terre. Cinque Terre refers to five towns, I think. The main draw is the picturesque scenery you see while hiking between the towns. We had planned to spend three days there walking, taking pictures and hanging around on the beach, but the rain changed our plan a bit.

As we got off the train it was raining a bit. Our hostel had a lockout, as most do in Italy, for about four hours. What do you do in a tiny Italian town when its pouring rain??? You go for lunch and then you drink cheap wine from an adoralbe little cafe that either doesn't seem to notice that you have been there for the last two hours or doesn't care..

That was that. Rain and rain and rain and boredom. The hostel wasn't that interesting at night. I guess it is because at 10am you have to be out of the rooms until 4pm so people need their beauty sleep.
