So, there are five towns that make up Cinque Terre. One of them one isn't that cool I guess, and the other all have their charms. We spent the day training between them and realizing more and more why hiking is the draw here.
We had fun putzing around each town and seeing the buildings. I love the colors....why more homes in America aren't shades other than blues, browns and whites is beyond me.
Manarola - This is the town we lived in. It was the most picturesque and really quite small. In hindsight we didn't spend much time at all seeing the sights. The day I took the most pictures it was really rainy. I think if it is sunny there is a nice beachish area to take a swim.

Corniglia - We spent a bit of time here at their marina. We had some pizza and sat around on the rocks at the edge of the town. Lots of shopping and gelati to be had here.

Vernazza - I think this town was the smallest. We were here for only an hour or so. I think we might have spent more time waiting for the train than looking around. Here there are better opportunities for pictures of the olive groves and the green mountains.

Monterosso - This town is the biggie. Most tourists call this home as they have lots of big hotels and apartments for rent. To support these people there are lots of cafe, stores and pizzarias. We had a some coffee and went to the coolest church. The outside was black and white stripes. I am still not sick of churches.

As the rain was headed our way again we took off a day earlier and headed to see this leaning tower that people have been talking about.
