Day 15 Sapa Town "Buy Me Lady"

My first day in Sapa made it apparent that I had to book a tour or I would be shopping the entire time I was here. The town is quite small and most of the buildings and things were geared towards selling you something.

My favorite and most hated part of sapa is the same. The minority woman that walk around trying to sell you their wares. At times it can be quite fun to talk to them and learn about their way of life and they in turn are just as curious about where we come from. But, at other times it is quite the annoyance to have a "friend" walk with you everywhere. You can't shake them. They try diligently to get you to buy anything from them.

In the evening I hooked up with a group of travelers mostly from England and went to dinner. Afterwards we talked to the children who were sent to live in Sapa and make money for their families. These little girls don't attend school anymore and their main mission for the evening was to get us to some bar down the street where I am sure they received some sort of commission.
